My Mother passed away in January 2016. I always plant flowers for her on Good Friday. This year my mother’s neighbor planted a Blue Passion flower, which I had never seen before. I decided to get one and plant it in my mother’s flower bed.

About two weeks later I noticed caterpillars (Great Spangled Fritillary) on the new flowers. I asked the neighbor if she had caterpillars on hers, and sure enough she had them as well.
My mother and her spoke almost every day. Now two butterflies come and are not bothered by us watching and enjoying their presence. I am going to buy more Blue Passion flowers next season.
